Welcome to musicartists-fun.com — I'm the person running this site.

I listened to music from the late 90s through the 2000s in real time, and somewhere along the way that turned into picking up a classical guitar. Back when Niconico Douga was at its peak, I was checking new uploads pretty much every day.

Why this site exists

Ever wondered, "Where did that artist go?"

This site started because I kept searching for artists who'd gone quiet after a hiatus or breakup, and kept coming up short on any real, organized information about what happened to them.

So I started writing up what I actually found — and how it felt to find it — for anyone else wondering the same thing.

How I approach this

I check what I write against official sources and reliable references wherever possible. When I genuinely don't know something, I say so instead of guessing.

I try to write with real respect for the artists and musicians involved, while still writing something that leaves you thinking "oh, that makes sense" by the end.

What I listen to

J-pop in general, especially artists from around the 2000s — Wagakki Band, Black Biscuits, Retro G-Style, mihimaru GT, and plenty of more niche names in between.
